Since our God is able, we should not be living lives of defeat. We are overcomers. We should be experiencing good success. We are on the winning side. Here are some verses that encourage us of God’s ability:
· The response of Shadrack, Mishach, and Abednego to King Nebuchadnezzar: If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. Daniel 3:17
· Nebuchadnezzar’s response to God after God had humbled him: Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase. Daniel 4:37
· King Darius question to Daniel from above the Lion’s den: And when he came to the den, he cried with a lamentable voice unto Daniel: and the king spake and said to Daniel, O Daniel, servant of the living God, is thy God, whom thou servest continually, able to deliver thee from the lions? Daniel 6:20
· God does more than expected: Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, Ephesians 3:20
· God holds us up: Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand. Romans 14:4
· God triumphs over all: Who shall change our vile body, that it may be fashioned like unto his glorious body, according to the working whereby he is able even to subdue all things unto himself. Philippians 3:21
· God keeps us: For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day. 2 Timothy 1:12
· Aids us when we are tempted: For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted. Hebrews 2:18
· Saves us to the uttermost: Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. Hebrews 7:25
