Unequivocal Commitment
UNEQUIVOCAL COMMITMENT

John 6:67-69 Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.
Besides the Twelve, Jesus had had many other followers. After Jesus spoke to the multitudes and followers, many walked away from Christ, making no commitment to Him. It is evident from their life that eleven of The Twelve Disciples made an unequivocal commitment to Christ beginning with Peter’s confession.
Webster’s 1913 Dictionary definition of Unequivocal:
Not equivocal; not doubtful; not ambiguous; evident; sincere; plain; as, unequivocal evidence; unequivocal words
- We are to have a commitment to Jesus that no one doubts.
- Our commitment to Christ is not ambiguous or uncertain.
- It is evident; it is clearly seen.
- It is sincere; it is pure, honest, and genuine. There is no hypocrisy.
- It is plain. It is not hidden. It is simple and understandable. It is unmistakable.
Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
Is your commitment to Christ unequivocal?
