You will have a Happy New Year if…

Here are seven promises from God’s Word. There are many more.

First, if you have found salvation and forgiveness of sins in Jesus Christ: Romans 4:7-8 Saying, Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

Second, if we respond in a godly manner to the adversities of life: See the Beattitudes – Matthew 5:3-11

Third, if we will follow Jesus example of being a servant: John 13:15 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you ... John 13:17 If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.

Fourth, if we endure temptation: James 1:12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

Fifth, if we obey the Word of God: James 1:25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.

Sixth, Keep away from sin’s influences: Psalm 1:1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

Seventh, Delight in and meditate upon the Word of God: Psalm 1:2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

·       Bible reading plans are at the back table for the new year.

·       Choir practice is at 5:00 PM
